ACF Culinary Team USA 2012 has
come a long way since it was formed in
2009. The team successfully competed in
its first international competition, the Villeroy
& Boch Culinary World Cup 2010, with the
national team placing third and the military
team placing sixth overall. The regional team
was formed earlier this year, and youth team
members will showcase their skills at the 2011
ACF National Convention in Dallas.

With the Internationale Kochkunst Ausstellung,
the “culinary Olympics,” a little more than a year
away, the teams are hard at work, practicing
both individually and as a group, working
closely with coaches and advisors to perfect
their skills and dishes. These practice sessions
are only possible with your support. Your
contributions directly influence the future of
the culinary industry by supporting innovative
menu development, educational training and
the globalization of American cuisine.
The American Academy of Chefs, ACF’s honor
society, under chair Thomas J. Macrina, CEC,
CCA, HGT, AAC, is also a proud supporter of
ACF Culinary Team USA. “It is a great honor
and privilege to help the team in any way we
can,” Macrina says. “Their dedication and skill is
what young chefs can strive to achieve. They
are an inspiration to all American chefs.”
On behalf of ACF Culinary Team USA 2012,
team manager Steven Jilleba, CMC, CCE,
AAC, and team business manager Macrina
would like to thank all ACF members, chapters
and sponsors for their continued support. ACF
Culinary Team USA is proud to showcase
American products and cuisine, and the talent
of American chefs.
