The TeaM behiND The TeaM
ACF Culinary Team USA is deep into an intense practice schedule as members prepare to compete at the 2016
Internationale Kochkunst Ausstellung (IKA) in Erfurt, germany, in October 2016. As the official representative
team for the U.S. in international culinary competition, the pressure is on. But these chefs are professionals, and
they know it’s a given that the months leading up to the competition will demand much time, effort, dedication
and passion. During the coming year, team members will strive to hone their skills, perfect their presentation
and cook like never before in their careers. The goal is to show the world American cuisine at its finest.
Fortunately, the team is not alone in this endeavor. A team of managers and coaches—equally dedicated, equally
passionate—has been assembled to lend their experience and wisdom. Let’s meet this team behind the team.

Steve Jilleba has received numerous medals in national and international competitions, and previously
served as team manager for ACF Culinary Team USA and ACF Culinary Youth Team USA.

Stafford DeCambra has received more than 60 national and international competition medals during his
career. He is past chair of the American Academy of Chefs.

Shawn Culp has more than 12 years of competition experience. He has received several medals in ACF-sanctioned competitions, and was a member of 2012 ACF Culinary Regional Team USA.

Timothy Prefontaine was a member of 2008 ACF Culinary Regional Team USA, a member of 2012 ACF
