Conference Nov. 3 at the Dallas/
Addison Marriott Quorum, Dallas.
The winners represent best in class
for their human capital practices in
their segment in the dining industry.
The winners are The Cheesecake
Factory, Eat'n Park Restaurants,
Logan's Roadhouse and McDonald's.
award is presented to the company
that shows exemplary practices
in community engagement and
corporate responsibility. Darden
Restaurants was the recipient.
The winners come from a field
that represents more than 100
companies that track, analyze
and benchmark their human
capital data with People Report.
The annual award is given to a
SUSTAINABLE
FISHERY CERTIFIED
Alaska Pollock, the world's largest sustainable fishery, has received certification for Responsible Fisheries Management indicating that it fully conforms to the international guidelines set by the United Nation’s Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO). Alaska Pollock is recognized worldwide as a model for sustainable fisheries. Sustainability was written into Alaska’s state constitution in 1959, mandating that “fish...be utilized, developed and maintained on the sustained yield principle.” Alaska is committed to ensuring that its wild, natural and sustainable seafood can be enjoyed by generations to come. to the People Report member
that outpaces industry norms and
significantly improves performance
in people practices over the prior
year, was presented to Chili's Grill
& Bar. The Heart of the Workplace
company from each segment that
shows best people practices in
relation to turnover, hourly and
management retention, workplace
diversity and community
engagement and corporate
responsibility.
For the 13th consecutive
year, Unilever was named
sustainability leader in the Dow
Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI)
Food Producers sector. With an
overall score of 81%, Unilever
has maintained high performance
against the food industry average
score of 45%. Scores are
assessed through measurements
of economic, environmental and
social performance. As part of the
company’s Sustainable Living Plan,
Unilever continues to work toward its
global sustainability goals, including
halving the environmental footprint of
its products by 2020, helping more
than 1 billion people take action to
improve their health and well-being,
and sourcing 100% of agricultural
