ELECTION OF THE 2011-2013
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
36TH ANNUAL CULINARY ARTS COMPETITION
All ACF voting members, who will vote in
advance of the meeting by proxy ballot, are
invited to attend the meeting on June 10,
2011, for election of the American Culinary
Federation Board of Directors for the term-of-office 2011-2013.
The meeting will be held on Friday, June
10, 2011, at 10 a.m. EDT. The proxy ballots
will be cast and election results announced
at the meeting.

Military chefs from around the country
and from all branches of the service came
together Feb. 26-March 11 for the 36th
U.S. Army Culinary Arts Competition,
the military’s annual ACF-sanctioned
competition held at Fort Lee, Va. More
than 250 military personnel competed,
winning nearly 550 medals.

“This year’s competition demonstrated
the military’s capability to work together,
regardless of which branch of service one
is in,” says CW4 Russell Campbell, CEC,
chief, Advanced Food Service Training
Division for the U.S. Army at Fort Lee, Va.,
who was in charge of this year’s event.
“We had extremely talented professionals
from all over the world fighting for every
point, and it showed in the quality of their
food throughout the week.”

scholarship to attend the 6th Annual

Congress, The Sixth Sense: Intuition,
Emotion, and Experiential Evolution
in Dining, Oct. 2-4, in New York. The
scholarship provides a three-day pass to
presentations, tastings and networking
opportunities. Submit a 200-word essay
describing an emotionally charged dining
experience and how it invoked the “Sixth
