The book was recognized as “Best Book
for Cooking with Drinks in the World”
in Paris, March 2, during the opening
ceremonies of the Paris Cookbook Fair.

Culinarians of San Diego, were two of
four U.S. Navy culinary specialists to
represent the U.S. for the first time in the
9th International Istanbul Gastronomy
Festival in Istanbul, Feb. 17-20. Overall,
the team received a silver medal in
the “Cook and Serve” category, which
featured Parigi and Parry as a team,
a bronze medal in the risotto cooking
competition and the No. 1 award for
sanitation and hygiene.
