Two 4-hour sessions are designed to
help educators hone the skills needed to
demonstrate proficiency in educational
theories and teaching and learning
processes. The components address the
disciplines common to all professional
educators. A separate registration fee of
$75 is required.

American Culinary Federation National
Championship—the tradition returns in 2010
as a military chef competition. Each of the
five branches of the U.S. military field a two-person team.

Hands-On Workshops Celebrate the
culinary arts during these skills-sharpening
sessions. Classes include fruit and
vegetable carving, sugar showpiece design,
rolled fondant and cake decorating and
tallow sculpting. Separate registration is
required. Members pay just $25 per class
with the purchase of a full registration.
A la carte and nonmember rate is $75.
Class size is limited, and advanced
registration is recommended.
